As a reviewer for sextoys.co.uk, the gorgeous latex-wearing Mistress Cara picked out the most suitable toy for me to test. Believe me, I’ve never been so excited in a long time! This is Paws and he’s one out of the five BzzzBuddies in this unique range of adult toys. Although labelled as ‘personal massager’, we all know that that means ‘amazing clitorial vibrator’, right? Damn straight.
Paws measures in at a satisfying 6″ with a girth of 1.75″ and comes in the shade of teal green. Some photos suggest that he’s turquoise or blue but I can clarify that he’s as green as he is cute. All of the BzzzBuddies are classical pocket-rockets and remind me of the Littlest Pet Shop characters; bright colours, adorable with big feature eyes. I’m a fanatic for all things cute so obviously a vibrator with a cheery little puppy on the end is right up my street. If you’re not a dog lover, perhaps Frisky the pink kitty will be more appealing, or maybe Shivers the polar bear or failing that, Pandy the panda.
The packaging, like the product, maintains the cute appeal, Paws is displayed in a clear rectangular box with matching green and pink decor and designs. The front of the box displays the Bzzz Buddies header alongside the subtext of it being a personal massager and above has a high-squealingly adorable design of the green puppy with a speech bubble stating the obvious – “Hi, I’m Paws!. If you flip the box over, you’re able to read Paw’s story:
Paws is the smallest of all his brothers and sisters. They all seem to be so much bigger! But that doesn’t bother Paws at all. He’s able to crawl into all the small and tight places that the others can’t, and he’s the #1 puppy at hide-and-seek. Paws loves to run and play, so when you see him, just be ready to have tons of fun!
As innocent and sweet as this story is, we all know what small and tight places this little puppy is going.
The main feature of this toy is the 4 interchangeable caps that slide onto the end of the vibrator for added textures and sensations. 3 out of the 4 caps are bumpy and spiked which is off-putting to those less adventurous and overly sensitive. During my testing I couldn’t really tell a difference between the caps and while the spiked ones felt amazing against my skin during massages, I prefered the rounded cap for masturbation. Likewise, the caps are made out of ABS plastic, like the rest of the product, and requires a good clean before and after play sessions. Since the caps are spiked, I recommend using cleaning wipes to ensure you get into all the hard to reach areas.
Paws operates of a single AAA battery and if your like me and go through batteries like no tomorrow, I recommend picking up a packet of those rechargable USB batteries. Like a lot of pocket-rockets, the Bzzz Buddies only come with one vibration and granted that it’s powered by one battery, it’s pretty strong. In regards to the noise level, I rate Paws a 4 out of 10 which is fairly quiet.
This is one of the few toys that I’ve tested that hasn’t required an instruction book because it’s so simple and easy to use; it’s idiot-proof. At the back of the vibrator you will see the text – on, off, open and a corosponding arrow on the upperhalf. If you twist it accordingly, it’ll match the command. Twisting it to the ‘open’ option will release the lower half of the vibrator allowing you to insert your AAA battery and then all you have to do is re-align it back up and twist to the left until you reach the ‘on’ option. No skill involved whatsoever.
A silicone o-ring joins and connects the two parts of the toy making it suitable for bath and shower play sessions. I’ve tested it and can give the thumbs up for being waterproof but I warn you to be weary when twisting it to the off option as if you twist it accidently to the ‘open’ part, it will release the catch and your toy is liable to be damaged by the water.

With risk of sounding like a love-sick puppy myself, Paws is up there as one of my top favourite toys to play with, especially when you’ve not got much time and just want a ‘quickie’. The entire BzzzBuddies collection is ridicilously adorable and if you love all things cute, then you definatly need one of these guys to add to your collection. They are ideal gifts for friends, partners and are so innocent looking that nobody would really suspect it as sex toy.
I would recommend this product to those curious to try out a sex toy as it’s not intimidating compared to others on the market, it has a decent vibration and it’s simple to operate. As much as it’s an ideal ‘beginner’ toy, it’s also great for anyone who just wants a pocket-rocket to keep in their bedside desk for those quiet and lonely nights.
