Kinklab Leather Bondage Mittens 0
Earlier this year I was given the opportunity to review the Kinklab Leather Bondage Mittens from my favourite adult toy retailer, sextoys.co.uk.
I’ve had my eyes on these restraints for a long time, longing for them to be part of my collection. I already own a range of ankle and wrist retraints but nothing that restricts my hand and finger movement, something that I was curious about trying.
The Kinklab Leather Bondage Mittens arrived in a plastic bag with official Kinklab tags which are easily removeable. I was instantly greeted with the pleasant odour of real leather. Fanatics will know that there is a difference between real leather and the fake synthetic replica that is commonly marketted so it was reassuring to have something that was genuine. In regards to the leather material, it’s high-quality, irresistable to touch and durable.
The mittens come in one-size which is able to fit all sizes of hands and wrists, including those who are plus sized. They are secured by the corsetting lace up the side of the mitt which can be tightened or loosened accordingly and there’s a buckle to ensure it will not fall off. (For extra security you can attach a padlock to prevent the flap from getting in the way.) Getting in and out of these heavy-duty restraints will require an extra pair of hands because once you’re secured into one mitten, you are unable to use your fingers to help you in securing the other.
A great feature is the D-rings which are secured to the tip and buckle of each mitten, opening up an expansion of kinky play for you and your partner. No attachments come with the product so you’ll have to use your own supplies but it’s worth the investment. Possible suggestions include using threading bondage rope through the D-rings in the tips and securing them to a bed behind your back for complete restriction. You can also use trigger clips which can easily be clipped through the D-rings to prevent movement.
I use my mittens to get into my pet-play headspace as they resemble paws and protect the my hands when I’m on the floor. I have small wrists so these restraints have to be tightened as much as possible to prevent them slipping off but once they are secured, they are comfortable and don’t rub against my skin or cut off my circulation.
When it comes to cleaning, treat this product like you would with anything that’s leather. A slightly dampened cloth to buff it up if it becomes too dry and if it becomes sweaty with excessive use, just soak in luke warm water and allow to dry naturally. When the mittens aren’t in use, I suggest storing them in a box away from direct sunlight to prevent them drying out.
As for performance, Kinklab have certainly delivered in making such an impresive and high-quality product. It does the simple job of limiting your finger movement and it allows you to try out new possibilities with the aid of other supplies and accessories. It’s the ultimate must-have for any submissive, human pet or someone who is new to the BDSM scene and wanting to experiment.

4 out of 5 puppy paws!
After experiencing the joys of having my full hand restricted, I definately favour it over bog-standard wrist restraints. The only reason I’m not giving this amazing product an extra “puppy paw” is because I personally dislike the D-ring that’s connected to the tip of the mitt. As convenient as it is for BDSM purposes, I find that it clinks against the wooden floor if I’m on my knees, limiting my play to the carpet. If I could just move the location of that D-ring, the Kinklab Leather Bondage Mittens would be perfect for me.
So if you’re not into those full-length arm binders or tiny wrist restraints, maybe these are right up your street. You can buy your own pair for £59.95 from sextoys.co.uk by clicking here and pressing the green ‘Buy Me’ button. With free, quick and discrete delivery, you have no reason not to get your kink on.
