Fairy Baby Wand 1

Disclaimer: This is a review of a sex toy.

The Fairy, a Japanese brand of vibrators that has taken the world by storm, pleasuring those with a soft spot for cuteness. It’s the ultimate feminine adult toy, with the distinctive colours of baby pink and white, and all versions sharing the same fairy design and massager vibe shape. With the Fairy series coming in several types – The Original Fairy, The Fairy Mini, The Fairy Mini-Mini, The Fairy Pocket, The Fairy Baby and of course the exclusive Fairy Wireless, there is a Fairy vibrator out there for everybody.

Edenfantasy gave me the opportunity to review and test out the Fairy Baby Wand, the smallest of the Fairy vibes and the one with the most cute appeal. What is it about small things from Japan (besides the rumoured male anatomy) that makes you want to squeal out in delight? As for me, I’ve been a Fairy fanatic and have been drooling over these amazing toys for quite some time so I was more than eager to get my puppy paws onto my one!

The Fairy Baby Wand arrives in a small plastic clam-like package, camoflauged nicely against the floral design of the packet. The text “Fairy Baby” is shown above the micro-vibrator, along with the trademark design of fairies in shades of pink. The back of the package is unreadable, unless you can read and understand Japanese and no user manual or instructions are included inside. To open up this minute toy, you simply seperate the plastic at the top of the package and pop it open, revealing the Baby Wand and it’s attachments.

So how small is this vibrator, I hear you asking? Well the Fairy Baby measures in just short of 3 inches, the exact length of my pinky finger. For those interested in the minor measurements, excuse me while I get my microscopic measuring tape out. Right, so the circumference of the head is 2 ½ and the length of ¾” while the tiny neck is a milimeter off ¼”. The body is shaped like a tapered cone and has a soft pink strip that surrounds the control dial and matching pink font above states the obvious – “Fairy Baby”, along with a miniture printed design. At the base of the toy you will find a small hole which you can use to clip on the lanyard that comes as an attachment, allowing you to use your mini vibrator as a charm.

The wand is made out of plastic and is seamless with no rough or sharp edges. The head is smooth to touch, with five intended ridges that don’t offer any benefit and the neck is not bendable, unlike it’s larger family members. The first thing I normally notice with new toys is the smell but the Baby Wand is scentless along with being phthalates free, latex free, hypo allergenic and for the sake of an honest review, tasteless.

The selling point, and what makes the Baby vibe so unique compared to the others is that it’s rechargeable via USB. Your cute new toy comes with a 21″ long USB cord which can be inserted into the applicable slot on your PC or laptop and then joined up with the opening at the back of Fairy. You’ll know it’s charging because the USB will turn red, a really awesome feature that I’ve yet to see in other products. Once you’ve charged up, disconnect the USB from the toy and ensure you keep the charging cord safe.

Using the Fairy Baby Wand is simple, just roll the dial on the front of the toy and you’ll feel (and hear) what this little baby is all about. Unfortunatly there is only one speed which I consider moderate and unexpected for the noise it actually makes. Although small in size, this toy is loud and makes a high-pitched buzz that resembles a swarm of bees. If it’s a discrete vibrator that your after, this probably isn’t the Wand for you.

This product is ideal for stimulating all your sensitive areas but like most massagers, is not designed for internal use. It’s small size makes it ideal for travelling with and setting the mood during foreplay, but as a sexual stimulator, I found that it wasn’t strong enough to climax with. I actually found that due to the size and strength of the vibrations that it was ideal for facial and hand massages so it’s not a complete failure.

In terms of care and maintenence, the easiest way to keep it clean is with toy wipes as bathing it in the sink will cause it to break as it is not waterproof. I store my Baby Wand in a silk draw-string bag which keeps it out of direct sunlight and prevents me from losing it. The USB cable is stored by my Xbox 360 console in a drawer for easy, chargeable access but if your prone to losing things, I’d keep the two together.

I rate this:

3 out of 5 puppy paws!

This is a great novelty toy and a starting brick for those new to starting up an adult toy collection. It’s easy to operate and maintain, it’s small and adorable and it’s rechargeable so you don’t have to worry about buying new batteries. So it might not be as strong as it’s larger family members but don’t let it’s 3″ size put you off, big things do come in small packages.
