The girl behind it all

Let me open up by saying that just because I can talk openly about personality, my life and traits that it doesn’t mean I’m an egotistical, arrogant, up-her-own-arse bitch that thinks the world revolves her. I just know exactly who I am and have nothing to hide, nor be ashamed of.

Let me introduce myself, I’m Kari Rose and I’m that girl with the blog.

My first ever blog entry was on the 18th January 2009, an excited rant called “Konichiwa!”. This was the beginning of a life-changing hobby and from that I ran the online jorunal The every day happenings of Kari Rose. Later that year, on the 9th September, I bought a piece of the Internet and named it kari-rose.com, writing a blog entry every single day up until September 2011.

2 years of daily write-ups, life changing opportunties, a following of supporters from around the world and an in-depth online documentation of my life. So where is it? As from the 3rd of October 2011, all entries were erased and placed into a box in cyberspace where I can be reminded of all my historical moments.

Think of it as a spring-clean, a fresh canvas to be filled with even more rantings, debates, discussions, reviews and expressive thoughts. I’d like to think of it as writing a book and now I’m starting a new one. It will have references to the previous book but it will have new material.

So who is Kari Rose? Well she’s a lot of things but she’s mainly an extension of a 21 year old Scottish girl who self-created the persona back in 2006. Kari Rose may be an online alias, a nickname that I use on a daily basis but she’s a massive part of who I am.

I currently wait tables for a living but have dreams and aspirations of being a burlesque performer. If you are unfortunate enough to know me, this will come as no shock to you as I’m infamous for my outrageous style. Let’s just say that I’m a country-girl who lives near a fishing town where strutting about in latex, corsets and knee high fetish boots isn’t considered a norm.

I’m a kinkster and happy to educate those who are curious about their fetishes. This would be the ideal time to mention that I’m an adult toy reviewer and represent reputuable retailers from around the world by writing honest reviews on their products. So if you’re a bit offended by discussions of dildos or anal toys, you may want to avoid the obvious titled posts.

The music scene

Avenged Sevenfold, Lady Gaga, Bullet for My Valentine, The Baseballs, Jace Everett, Logan, The Offspring, [Spunge] and The Offspring are just some of my favourite bands and artists. While I come across as punk rock girl, I’m very much into my rockabilly, psychobilly, jazz and ska bands.

I’ve seen Avenged Sevenfold at Glasgow in 2008 and again in 2010, one of the greatest moments in my life. I was at T in the Park in 2007 and have been to a couple music festivals up and down the country since, including annually attending the Wickerman and Wizard Festival.
